Causes of the occurrence:
The fire started in the electric room situated in the mezzanine above the second basement and then spread through the door located in the separation wall and reached the first UPS room containing the batteries of the UPS and spread to the adjacent 2nd UPS room. Simultaneously, debris of the burned materials fell from the electrical room in the mezzanine to the second basement warehouse below and, then to the rest of the factory (including the mezzanine warehouse), where it destroyed the machines, raw materials and finished products.

Actions Taken:
Our team consisted of a fire investigator, two civil engineers, a soil mechanics engineer, a structural engineer, an electrician and a surveyor for the assessment of the Property Damage claim by conducting several surveys and follow-ups.
As for the Business Interruption claim, we appointed a sworn auditor to assess the actual value of loss.
The claims were processed according to the conditions of the insurance policy.

Causes of the occurrence:
The damage was caused by the blast that resulted from the Beirut port explosion that occured on 04/08/2020. Several damages were inflicted to the insured’s premises, like to aluminium and glass, gypsum board false ceilings and wooden doors, damage of several fire-rated doors, total destruction of photovoltaic panels on the roof, and of the sprinklers, hot water tanks, ACs and fire detectors.Our team worked with the Insured to obtain salvage bids for various affected materials that retained a salvage value, and obtained a value, thus mitigating the claims value.

Our team consisted of mechanical engineer and structural engineer and a surveyor for the assessment of the Property Damage claim by conducting several surveys and follow-ups.
The claims were processed according to the conditions of the insurance policy.

Causes of the occurrence:
Cracks were discovered and eventually led to the breakdown of the machine: during the ultrasonic examination of the Shell plate and directly below the welded flange, lots of strong ultrasonic signals emerged, indicating the existence of some strange defects.
After detailed re-examination, the nature of the defects has been found to be the stepped cracking “Lamellar Tearing”, generated in the middle zone of the Shell plate material volume.

Actions Taken:
A team consisting of our civil engineers and our electro-mechanical engineer surveyed the machine and followed-up all the stages of dismantling, testing and examination; moreover, we appointed a specialist in the field from Morocco who attended in order to determine the cause of the breakdown and the repairing possibility of the machine.
In addition, we appointed a sworn auditor to assess the actual value related to the business interruption costs. 
The claim was processed according to the conditions of the policy insurance.

Causes of the occurrence:
Settlement of a claim concerning the replacement of a 370 - horsepower engine, insured by a Hull policy. Our team obtained that the engine be repaired instead of replaced, thus significantly mitigating the cost of the claim.
